Cinderella was the twelfth animated feature from Disney. It was released in nineteen-fifty and received three academy award nominations. It was based on the version of the fairy tale written by Charles Perrault.

THE BEGINNING

The fairy tale is about a girl named Cinderella whose wealthy widowed father marries a woman who has two daughters of her own. Cinderella is beautiful and kind but her stepsisters are very homely and mean. When the father dies, Cinderella is treated as a slave.

MAGICAL TRANSFORMATION

The fairy godmother turned a pumpkin into a gold gilded coach. Six mice became beautiful gray horses and a rat became a jolly bearded coachman. Six lizards were made into six footmen who followed the coach. Finally, Cinderella’s rags were turned into beautiful clothes.
