Winter Olympic Printables
The winter olympics only happen once every 4 years. Why not celebrate them with your kid(s) by giving them some fun printable activity pages.
Not only are there a selection of types of worksheets and different sports, but the Olympic printables are also appropriate for a range of ages. Younger kids, like preschoolers and kindergarten kids, will enjoy the Olympic coloring pages and traditional mazes. Early grade school kids will like the dot to dot printables, counting mazes, and word search puzzles. Older kids and even adults can enjoy the more challenging worksheets suc as the cryptogram puzzles. They are great worksheets for either home or school.
Winter Olympic Mazes
There are two types of winter olympic mazes we have. There are traditional mazes with walls and false paths. There are also counting mazes. To complete the counting mazes, kids must count by 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, or 5s and draw the path from number to number until they reach the end.
Each of these mazes are shaped like something from the winter Olympics. There's the olympic torch and a wide variety of sports figures. Try not to get caught in too many false path on the way through the mazes.Bobsled Maze: Guide the bobsleigh to the gold medal.

Snowboarding Maze: Guide the snowboarder to a podium finish.

Olympic Rings maze: Get the torch to the stadium.
Figure Skating Maze: Guide the figure skater to her partner.
Figure Skater Shaped Maze: Guide the figure skater to the gold medal.
Hockey Maze: Help the hockey player through the skate maze to the net.
Hockey Maze: Guide the puck thru the hockey player maze to the net.
Hockey Maze: Guide the hockey player through the player maze to win gold.
Skiing Maze: Help the skier to get the gold medal.
Skiing Maze: Help the ski jumper win the gold medal.
Speed Skating Maze: Guide the skater to the finish line.
Speed Skating Maze: Help the speed skater win a gold medal.
Vancouver Maze: Go from the 2 to the ending 0 in 2010.
In these mazes you must draw a path through all the numbers, starting with the smallest and working your way to the highest number in the grid. They are a great addition to a math lesson for young grade school kids. These worksheets reinforce addition skills. Each page of these Olympic word scrambles has 4 separate puzzles. Each puzzle is based on the title of the puzzle. If you can get more than one word from unscrambling the letters, then choose the word that most closely matches the title. Winter Olympics Crypto-Families Puzzles
Crypto-families are lists of words that are encrypted by letter substitutions. For example all A's may be replaced with Q's, all B's with R's, etc. Each family of words uses a different letter substitution encryption. There are puzzle pages and a solution page. One puzzle page has 4 lists, but no clues to the words other than the title. The second puzzle page has three crypto-families and a list of all the words from the three lists (in alphabetical order).
